This bill amends the Public Officers Law to allow public bodies of municipal corporations (local governments) to conduct meetings via video conference technology, as long as they provide an opportunity for the public to contemporaneously view and listen to the meeting online, make a video recording of the meeting, and post the recording on the public body's website within five business days. Additionally, upon request from a member of the public, the public body must make available a specific location within the jurisdiction for the public to view and listen to the meeting online, as long as the request is received at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled meeting.
