This bill amends Wyoming's election laws to revise provisions relating to political party affiliation changes and declarations by electors. The key changes are: 1) An elector's voter registration can be cancelled upon their written request, except during the period when party changes are prohibited under the law. 2) Electors requesting a major party ballot must declare or change their party affiliation in accordance with the requirements in the law, which includes filing an application with the county clerk before certain deadlines. 3) Electors can declare or change their party affiliation by completing an application and filing it with the county clerk before the primary election, after the primary election but at least 14 days before the general election, or on the day of the general election when requesting an absentee ballot. The bill has an immediate effective date upon completion of all acts necessary for it to become law.
