This bill amends the Arizona Revised Statutes to incrementally increase the state's minimum wage from $10 per hour in 2017 to $15 per hour by 2024. The bill also requires the minimum wage to be adjusted annually based on the increase in the cost of living, as measured by the Consumer Price Index. Additionally, the bill allows employers to pay tipped employees a lower minimum wage if the total of their wages and tips equals at least the regular minimum wage. The bill requires a three-fourths vote of the legislature to enact these changes, as per the state constitution.
