This bill makes clarifications to the provisions of the Warehouse Worker Protection Act. It amends the definitions of key terms such as "employee," "employee work speed data," and "quota." Additionally, it establishes a rebuttable presumption of unlawful retaliation if an employer takes adverse action against an employee within 90 days of the employee exercising their rights under the act. The bill also grants the commissioner the ability to enforce the provisions and assess civil penalties. Finally, it delays the effective date of the Warehouse Worker Protection Act from 60 to 180 days after it becomes law.
