This bill amends the Tobacco Products Act in New Mexico to prohibit the sale of flavored tobacco products. It defines "flavored tobacco product" as any tobacco product that contains an ingredient, substance, chemical, or compound, other than tobacco, water, or reconstituted tobacco sheet, that imparts a distinguishable taste or aroma. The bill also prohibits the sale of flavored tobacco products through vending machines or in age-controlled locations where minors are not permitted. Additionally, it requires retailers to display signs stating that it is illegal to sell flavored tobacco products.
