This bill requires degree-granting institutions of higher education to establish an education campaign to inform students, faculty, and staff about the 9-8-8 suicide and crisis lifeline and the crisis text line. The campaign must include resources on when to use these services and their contact information, which must be printed on student identification cards or distributed annually at institutions that do not issue such cards. The bill will take effect on July 1, 2025 and apply to student identification cards issued, modified, altered, or amended on or after that date.
