This bill amends Section 63-15-43 of the Mississippi Code to require motor vehicle liability insurance policies to include medical payment coverage of at least $10,000. The existing law defines a "motor vehicle liability policy" and sets minimum liability limits, as well as other provisions related to such policies. The new provision mandates that every motor vehicle liability policy in Mississippi must provide medical payment coverage of at least $10,000. The bill will take effect on July 1, 2023.
