This bill requires state agencies that contract for services to include provisions in their contracts that increase reimbursement to contractors and subcontractors to hold them harmless for any wage increases resulting from an increase in the state minimum wage or cost increases resulting from changes to statutory benefits, such as employee benefits required by state law. The bill also requires that individuals employed under such contracts or subcontracts who are paid the state minimum wage must receive wage increases concurrently with increases in the state minimum wage.
