This bill establishes a statewide, evidence-based program in New Jersey to provide treatment services for children and their family members who have been exposed to domestic violence. The Department of Children and Families will provide grants to providers for developing and implementing therapeutic treatment, counseling, and supportive services. The department will also assign staff to assist providers in implementing the program and monitor its implementation by requiring participating organizations to maintain records on service levels, referrals, and overall program management. The department is required to collect and maintain data on the program, including the number of counties or municipalities that have implemented it and the number of participants, as well as information on the program's effectiveness, and provide an annual report to the Governor and Legislature.
