This bill amends existing law to expand the definition of "security officer company" to include entities that are organized and primarily engage in the business of furnishing security officers, including those established by non-profit organizations. It also clarifies that for security officer companies owned by non-profit organizations, only the operator(s) need to have the required law enforcement or security management experience, rather than the owner(s) as well. The bill maintains other key provisions, such as the licensing requirements, background check procedures, and liability of security officer companies for the actions of their employees.
