This bill prohibits individuals under the age of 21 from purchasing or possessing automatic or semiautomatic firearms, as well as firearms capable of accepting large-capacity feeding devices, with some exceptions. The exceptions include activities such as attending a safety course, target shooting at an authorized range, participating in organized competitions, and hunting or trapping. The bill also makes it unlawful to knowingly sell or transfer ownership of these types of firearms to a person under 21 who is prohibited from purchasing or possessing them. Violations of this bill would be considered a misdemeanor.
