AN ACT 11 RELATING TO RADIOACTIVE WASTE; AMENDING THE RADIOACTIVE AND 12 HAZARDOUS MATERIALS ACT; PROHIBITING THE STORAGE AND DISPOSAL 13 OF RADIOACTIVE MATERIALS, TRANSURANIC CONTAMINATED WASTE OR 14 LOW-LEVEL WASTE IN A DISPOSAL FACILITY UNTIL THE STATE HAS 15 CONSENTED TO THE CREATION OF THE DISPOSAL FACILITY; PROHIBITING 16 THE ISSUANCE OR CERTIFICATION OF A PERMIT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION 17 OR OPERATION OF A DISPOSAL FACILITY FOR SPENT FUEL OR HIGH- 18 LEVEL WASTE UNLESS THE STATE HAS CONSENTED TO THE CREATION OF 19 THE DISPOSAL FACILITY AND A PERMANENT REPOSITORY IS IN 20 OPERATION; AMENDING THE DEFINITION OF "DISPOSAL FACILITY"; 21 AMENDING THE DUTIES AND COMPOSITION OF THE RADIOACTIVE WASTE 22 CONSULTATION TASK FORCE; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. 23 24
