This bill amends Minnesota Statutes to modify the limitations on prescribing and administering certain drugs by optometrists. The key provisions are: 1) Allowing optometrists to perform intravitreal injections, which are injections directly into the eye. 2) Removing the prohibition on optometrists prescribing or administering Schedule II and III oral legend drugs, as well as oral steroids. 3) Allowing optometrists to prescribe or administer oral steroids for up to 14 days without consultation with a physician, instead of the previous 7-day limit.
