This bill amends existing New Mexico law to specify that a fully insured welfare benefit plan offered by an employee leasing contractor to its leased workers shall be treated as a single employer welfare benefit plan for the purposes of New Mexico law. The bill maintains the existing requirement that employee leasing contractors must provide any benefits required by law to be provided to employees by employers and must provide proof of required insurance benefits prior to registration or renewal of registration.
