This bill creates new provisions requiring realtors and landlords to provide new residents with voter registration packets. Specifically, it requires landlords to provide lessees with the voter registration packet upon signing a lease, and requires realtors to provide purchasers of residential real estate with the voter registration packet upon closing the sale. The bill also modifies the existing law on voter registration solicitors, requiring those who solicit more than 10 voter registration applications to register with the Secretary of State as a voter registration solicitor and provide information about their identity and any compensation.
