This bill directs the Secretary of Higher Education and the New Jersey Presidents' Council, in consultation with each public institution of higher education, to develop, implement, and maintain a common course numbering system for general education classes leading to an associate degree or a baccalaureate degree. The common course numbering system is required to be fully operational by September 1, 2024. An independent institution of higher education in the State may choose to participate in the common course numbering system.
