This bill amends existing law to revise provisions regarding raw milk and raw milk products. The key provisions are: 1. The acquisition of raw milk or raw milk products from cows, sheep, or goats by an owner of a cow share, sheep share, or goat share for personal use or consumption by the owner or their household is not considered a sale or retail sale and is not prohibited. 2. Farms or dairies producing raw milk or raw milk products for such share owners must be registered with the Idaho State Department of Agriculture. 3. It is unlawful for share owners to sell, offer for sale, or advertise the sale of raw milk or raw milk products, with certain exceptions. 4. The Department of Agriculture is responsible for the administration and enforcement of these provisions and can issue hold orders to stop the distribution of raw milk or raw milk products if deemed necessary to protect public health.
