This bill amends the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to further provide for the offense of sale or transfer of firearms. Specifically, it removes language that required the seller or transferor to have reason to believe the firearm was intended to be used in a crime or attempted crime. Instead, the bill now states that a person who knowingly and intentionally sells or transfers a firearm in violation of the law shall be criminally liable for any crime or attempted crime in which the firearm is used. It also imposes civil liability for injuries suffered during any crime or attempted crime in which the transferred firearm is used.
