This bill amends the Tax Reform Code of 1971 to allow individuals to contribute to grant programs administered by the Office of State Fire Commissioner for fire companies and emergency medical services companies. The bill creates a space on the Pennsylvania individual income tax return form where individuals can contribute a minimum of $1, and the total amount designated, less administrative costs, will be transferred to a restricted revenue account within the General Fund to be used by the Office of State Fire Commissioner to fund these grants. The bill also requires the Department of Revenue to provide information about the contribution program in the tax return instructions and the Office of State Fire Commissioner to report annually on the amount received and how the funds were utilized.
