This bill enacts the "New York State Kratom Consumer Protection Act" to regulate the sale and labeling of kratom products in New York. The key provisions include: 1. Defining "kratom product" as any food containing any part, extract, or byproduct of the kratom plant. 2. Requiring dealers to disclose the factual basis for representing a product as a kratom product on the label. 3. Allowing private causes of action for damages resulting from violations. 8. Authorizing the Department to promulgate rules and regulations for implementing the Act.
