AI Summary

This bill proposes to increase the dollar value thresholds for various public works and construction-related contracts in Georgia. Specifically, it would raise the exemption limit from competitive bidding requirements for certain public works contracts from $150,000 to $250,000, increase the threshold for in-state purchasing preferences from $100,000 to $250,000, raise the competitive bidding requirement for school construction contracts from $100,000 to $250,000, and increase the dollar value that triggers the state's Department of Administrative Services to conduct and negotiate construction or public works contracts from $100,000 to $250,000. The overall aim of the bill is to adjust these monetary thresholds to account for inflation and changes in the construction industry.
