This bill amends the Arizona Revised Statutes to increase the dollar amount exemption for certain unlicensed construction activities from $1,000 to $2,500, and provides for annual increases to this exemption amount based on inflation. The bill also clarifies the exemptions for materialmen, manufacturers, and retailers who furnish finished products, materials, or articles of merchandise and do not install or attach them, or install/attach them if the total value does not exceed the exemption amount. The bill maintains other existing exemptions, such as for property owners improving their own property, architects and engineers engaging in certain preconstruction activities, and others. The bill aims to provide more flexibility for unlicensed individuals and businesses to engage in minor construction-related work without the need for a contractor's license.
