This bill amends the Kansas Residential Landlord and Tenant Act to remove the requirement for a landlord to publish notice before selling a tenant's abandoned property. The bill allows a landlord to take possession of the property, store it at the tenant's expense, and sell or dispose of it without the need for prior publication, as long as the landlord mails notice to the tenant at least eight days before the sale or disposition. The bill also repeals the existing section and specifies that the act shall take effect upon publication in the statute book.
