This bill amends the Kentucky Revised Statutes (KRS) to remove the requirement that 60 days must elapse before testimony can be taken in divorce actions involving minor children. The current law requires a 60-day waiting period before testimony can be heard, except for temporary motions. The proposed change would allow testimony to be taken once a warning order attorney is appointed or the defendant files an appearance or responsive pleading, whichever occurs first, without the mandatory 60-day delay.
