This bill requires each institution within the State University of New York (SUNY) and the City University of New York (CUNY) that offers in-person student instruction to have at least one vending machine on campus that makes emergency contraception available for purchase. The vending machine must be located in a secure and accessible area, and the location must be included on the institution's website. The emergency contraception sold must meet certain requirements, such as being in the manufacturer's original, unbroken, tamper-proof, and unexpired packaging, and being stored in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations. The bill also sets a deadline of April 1, 2025, for the SUNY and CUNY boards of trustees to adopt policies to implement these provisions.
