This bill creates a civil cause of action for the manufacture, sale, or distribution of assault weapons or ghost guns within the state, as well as for aiding and abetting such activities or intending to do so. If a plaintiff prevails, they are entitled to injunctive relief, statutory damages of at least $10,000 per violation, and attorney's fees. The bill also prohibits certain defenses, such as ignorance of the law or belief that the requirements are unconstitutional, and establishes affirmative defenses for defendants who reasonably believed the violator would comply with the law.
