This bill eliminates the statute of limitations for certain civil actions involving sexual assault, regardless of whether the plaintiff was a minor or an adult at the time of the assault. Specifically, the bill allows a civil action to recover damages for a sexual assault that occurred when the plaintiff was 18 years of age or older to be commenced at any time after the assault occurred. The bill also applies retroactively to revive civil actions that would have been barred by the previous statute of limitations.
