AN ACT concerning Election Law - Automatic Voter Registration - Alterations FOR the purpose of altering automatic voter registration procedures at the Motor Vehicle Administration and the Maryland Health Benefit Exchange; requiring the voter registration information of certain applicants at the Administration and the Exchange to be transmitted to the State Board of Elections under certain circumstances; requiring the State Board to process the voter registration information of certain applicants at the Administration and the Exchange who are currently registered to vote in a certain manner and send a certain notice to each applicant; requiring the State Board to process the voter registration information of certain applicants at the Administration and the Exchange who are not currently registered to vote in a certain manner and send a certain notice to each applicant; authorizing the State Board to implement certain automatic voter registration procedures at certain agencies with the consent of the agencies; providing that certain automatic voter registration procedures do not apply to participants in certain confidentiality programs; and generally relating to automatic voter registration. BY renumbering Article - Election Law Section 3-203(c) through (j) to be Section 3-203(d) through (k), respectively Annotated Code of Maryland (2022 Replacement Volume and 2022 Supplement) BY repealing and reenacting, without amendments, Article - Election Law Section 3-203(a)(1), (2)(i)1. and 2. and (ii), (3)(i) and (ii), and (4) Annotated Code of Maryland (2022 Replacement Volume and 2022 Supplement) SENATE BILL 888 BY adding to Article - Election Law Section 3-203(b) and 3-203.1 Annotated Code of Maryland (2022 Replacement Volume and 2022 Supplement) BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments, Article - Election Law Section 3-203(b), 3-303, and 3-503 Annotated Code of Maryland (2022 Replacement Volume and 2022 Supplement)
