This bill aims to ensure compensation parity for licensed social workers employed by executive agencies in the state of New Mexico. Beginning July 1, 2024, licensed social workers must receive compensation based on their work, duties, and performance evaluation, which includes both salary and benefits. The bill defines "licensed social worker" to encompass those with bachelor's, master's, clinical, and independent social work licenses under the state's Social Work Practice Act.
