This bill amends the California Seed Law to require additional labeling information for seeds treated with pesticides. Specifically, it mandates that when multiple substances are applied to seeds, the label must indicate each substance and the signal word for the substance with the highest level of toxicity. Additionally, beginning January 1, 2027, the label for seeds treated with certain substances must include the pesticide's registration number from the United States Environmental Protection Agency and the quantity applied per seed, if applicable. This new requirement only applies to seeds packaged on or after January 1, 2027 and sold within California.
