AI Summary
This bill authorizes and regulates the use of teledentistry by licensed dentists in Georgia. It defines key terms like "teledentistry" and "authorizing dentist," and outlines the conditions under which dentists can provide dental care through teledentistry, including establishing a dentist-patient relationship, obtaining informed consent, and coordinating with a "referred dentist" for in-person care. The bill also requires health insurers to cover dental care provided through teledentistry and prohibits them from requiring patients to obtain care solely through teledentistry. Additionally, the bill grants the Georgia Board of Dentistry the authority to promulgate rules and regulations to implement the provisions of this law.
