This bill, the Nulhegan River and Paul Stream Wild and Scenic River Study Act of 2023, amends the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act to designate the approximately 22-mile segment of the Nulhegan River and the approximately 18-mile segment of Paul Stream in Vermont for potential addition to the national wild and scenic rivers system. The bill requires the Secretary of the Interior to complete a study of these river segments within 3 years and submit a report to Congress on the results. The purpose of this study is to determine if these river segments meet the criteria for inclusion in the national wild and scenic rivers system, which provides federal protection and management for outstanding natural, cultural, and recreational resources.
