AI Summary
This bill enacts the New York Tropical Deforestation-Free Procurement Act, which requires companies contracting with the state to certify that the tropical forest-risk commodities (such as palm oil, soy, and beef) in their supply chains did not contribute to tropical deforestation or tropical primary forest degradation. The bill also establishes the Supply Chain Transparency Assistance Program to help small, medium-sized, and minority- and women-owned businesses develop transparent, traceable, ethical, and sustainable supply chains.
