AI Summary

This bill, titled the "Fairness In Women's Sports Act," would categorize athletic teams in schools and colleges based on the biological sex of the participants, with teams designated as male, female, or coed/mixed. It would prohibit biological males from participating on female sports teams, and allow students to establish their sex by providing a physician's statement. The bill would also create a private cause of action for any student who is deprived of an athletic opportunity or faces retaliation due to violations of the law, and would protect educational institutions from adverse actions for maintaining separate teams. The bill is intended to address the inherent physiological advantages that biological males have over females in many sports, and to promote equality and opportunities for female athletes.
