Bill Summary
AN ACT in relation to suspending all unnecessary travel to the state of Arkansas so long as HB 1570, as enacted into law on April 6, 2021 in the state of Arkansas is in effect; and providing for the repeal of such provisions upon expiration thereof
AI Summary
This bill suspends all unnecessary travel to Arkansas by government agencies, departments, boards, authorities, and commissions as long as HB 1570, the "Arkansas Save Adolescents from Experimentation (SAFE) Act", enacted into law in Arkansas on April 6, 2021, remains in effect. This suspension of travel does not apply to travel necessary for the enforcement of New York state law, to meet prior contractual obligations, or for the protection of public health, welfare, and safety, or if the travel is otherwise in the interest of the state. The bill will expire and be repealed upon the repeal of HB 1570 in Arkansas, and the New York Secretary of State will notify the legislative bill drafting commission of the repeal of HB 1570 to ensure an accurate and up-to-date database of New York state laws.
