This bill requires health facilities and clinics in California to meet with California community colleges and California State University nursing programs to work in good faith to accommodate their prelicensure nursing clinical placement needs, including adding additional clinical placement slots if the facility has the capacity. If the facility cannot meet the program's needs, it must inform the Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI) by January 30 annually, providing the reasons why. The bill subjects facilities that fail to provide the required information to an administrative penalty of up to $1,000. The information provided by facilities will be posted on HCAI's website for 5 years. The bill's provisions will be repealed on January 1, 2032.
