This bill revises various provisions related to charter schools in Florida. It allows charter schools to give enrollment preference to the children of school safety officers assigned to the charter school, expands the ability of not-for-profit charter school entities to use their unrestricted assets for other charter schools in the state, and requires sponsors to provide training on the systems they require charter schools to use and to annually report on the services they provide from their administrative fees. The bill also allows private tutoring programs to operate in certain facilities without additional zoning or land use changes, requires public schools to post instructions on emergency first aid for choking, and modifies the calculation of classroom teacher funds under the Florida Teachers Classroom Supply Assistance Program.
