This bill amends Pennsylvania's Vehicle Code to prohibit individuals from smoking in vehicles that are transporting a child under 12 years of age. It imposes a summary offense penalty of $100 for the first violation and $250 for subsequent violations. The bill also requires the individual to be convicted of another vehicle offense that occurred at the same time in order to be convicted under this new provision. The term "smoke" is defined to include carrying a lighted cigar, cigarette, pipe, or other smoking device.
