This bill prohibits a landlord from evicting a tenant who is a veteran, unless the premises is being used for illegal conduct as described in existing law. It defines a "veteran" as a person who has been honorably discharged from the U.S. Armed Forces after serving active duty for at least six consecutive months, or a member of the reserve or National Guard who has served at least six years or was called to active duty by the President.
