This bill proposes to permit the aggregate value of stolen property to be used to satisfy the $900.00 threshold that determines whether a crime is (1) grand larceny or petit larceny and (2) felony retail theft or misdemeanor retail theft. Specifically, the bill amends the grand larceny and retail theft statutes to allow the total value of goods stolen across multiple incidents within a 180-day period to be combined to meet the $900.00 threshold, rather than requiring a single theft to exceed that amount.
