This bill amends Alaska's labor laws to regulate work quotas at warehouse distribution centers. It requires employers with 100 or more employees at a single warehouse or 1,000 or more employees across the state to provide written descriptions of any quotas they impose on employees, including the time period, number of tasks or materials required, and potential adverse actions for not meeting the quota. The bill prohibits employers from setting quotas that prevent employee use of bathroom facilities or compliance with safety laws, and allows current and former employees to request their quota descriptions and recent work speed data. Employees can seek injunctive relief in court if the employer violates these provisions. The bill takes effect on January 1, 2025.
