This bill amends Titles 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) and 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes. The key provisions include: 1) allowing courts to impose a determinate sentence of 90 days or less for summary vehicle offenses, including the option of county probation with restrictive conditions; 2) increasing the minimum jail time for driving with a suspended or revoked license due to a DUI-related offense, from 60-90 days for a first offense to 60 days, and from not less than 90 days for a second offense; 3) exempting certain medical marijuana users from the prohibition on driving with any amount of marijuana in their system while their license is suspended; and 4) modifying the requirements for obtaining an ignition interlock limited license, including allowing self-certification of the vehicles the applicant owns and intends to operate.
