This bill establishes the Office of the Special Inspector General for Ukraine Assistance to provide independent and objective oversight of the programs and operations funded by U.S. appropriations for the military and non-military support of Ukraine. The Special Inspector General will be appointed by the President with the advice and consent of the Senate and will have the authority to conduct audits and investigations, prevent and detect waste, fraud, and abuse, and keep Congress and the Secretaries of State and Defense informed about related issues and corrective actions. The bill also requires quarterly reports on the obligation, expenditure, and revenue associated with Ukraine assistance, as well as public availability of the reports and comments from the Secretaries. The Office will terminate when the remaining unexpended Ukraine assistance funds are less than $250 million.
