It also mandates that the Department of Education present a report on the financial impact before the Board can approve any new charter school applications. Additionally, the bill requires the Department to annually request full funding for the charter school reimbursement program, and if the funding is not approved, the Board will not be allowed to approve any new charter school applications or expansions for the following school year.
