The training will cover topics such as recognizing the characteristics of these conditions, de-escalating potentially dangerous situations, proper interrogation techniques, and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of these individuals in correctional facilities. The training is intended to improve law enforcement's understanding and response to persons with these disabilities, whether they are victims, witnesses, or suspected or convicted of crimes.
