This bill establishes the Office of Community Justice Programs within the Office of the Commissioner of Probation to create a statewide network of community-based programs and services, including intensive supervision with treatment, pretrial services, and reentry programs. The bill allows courts to sentence eligible individuals to intensive supervision with treatment as a condition of probation and authorizes the use of pretrial services programs in lieu of or as a condition of bail. The bill also permits the Probation Department and the Office of Community Justice Programs to provide additional court-ordered or voluntary programming to probationers and formerly incarcerated individuals.
