This bill prohibits law enforcement from establishing or conducting "motorcycle-only" checkpoints, requires law enforcement training to address motorcycle profiling, and requires law enforcement agencies to add a statement condemning motorcycle profiling to their existing profiling policies. Motorcycle profiling is defined as the illegal use of the fact that a person rides a motorcycle or wears motorcycle-related paraphernalia as a factor in deciding to stop and question, take enforcement action, arrest, or search a person or vehicle without a legal basis. The bill takes effect upon passage.
