This bill amends the existing law to require school committees in cities, towns, and regional school districts to recognize two student representatives elected by the student bodies of all secondary schools within the district. These student representatives will be allowed to vote on all matters before the committee, subject to school committee rules and regulations. The bill also establishes a student advisory committee, with a number of members determined by the district, to assist the elected student representatives with their duties and to help students access resources and connect with the representatives.
