This bill requires the Board of Registration in Medicine and the Center for Health Information and Analysis to collect and publicly report data on the race, ethnicity, gender identity, and sexual identity of physicians, medical fellows, interns, and residents in Massachusetts. Healthcare facilities must provide this data quarterly to the regulatory agencies. The Center for Health Information and Analysis must also report on this data annually to the state legislature and the Department of Public Health. The goal is to assess the impact of physician workforce diversity on health outcomes in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
