The bill also requires that services delivered through approved MIH programs be covered to the same extent as if they were provided in a health care facility, and that payment rates for covered services cannot be reduced due to being delivered through an approved MIH program. The bill further provides that insurance contracts may include deductibles, copayments, or coinsurance requirements for MIH services, but these cannot exceed the requirements for the same services provided in a health care facility.
